Well, the spare room and house is looking a tad tidier. The car, on the other hand, is packed to the gunnels...(just had to check wikipedia to spell that one)...with Kerri's gear still to be loaded.
It's been a very busy week with several trips to Melbourne/Dandenong for work, managed to arrange a car service for Wednesday when I was working in Moe. Only to get several missed calls from the car yard, this service also now requires changing some various belts and bits...no they didn't have them in stock and I wouldn't have the car back till Friday....grrrrrr!!!! there goes any slim chance of packing during the week.
There was also to be a hefty bill for these new bits and pieces.
Anyway, I eventually got the nerve to phone and check just before lunch today, car would be ready by 2.00. So over we went, back to work for a bit, and then home to pack, pick up meat and eggs, pack the fridge...always a challenge with small Engel - soon fills up with meat, milk, cheese etc etc. Not even room for drinks at this stage, will need to use Dad's Engel for that.
Several phone messages etc between us all regarding last minute plans and preparations, it seems everyone is reasonably well organised. Will we get away in time is the 64million dollar question.
Some of the crew are meeting here, then we go to collect Steve and the Davey clan in Drouin, through to Marong to collect Dad and meet the rest of the crew, some of whom left today, at Irymple.
So tis off to bed early after a cup of tea and watching the end of Miss Fishers' Murders. Probably should be watching the footy, but I forgot it was on to be honest, till I looked at Facebook.
Anyway, hope I can manage to blog along the way.
For those in the education game taking holidays or leave, have a brilliant time.
To Lyn - HAPPY BIRTHDAY for the big one, may all your wishes come true. So sorry I couldn't be there tomorrow night.
HUGE thanks to Janine who is sitting...the house, the dog and the cat, it's so nice just to leave the house without having to sort everything out for two weeks away.
